The front of the house looks out onto a pretty flower garden, which is both private and enclosed - a sunny spot that is perfect for an aperitif on a summers evening. Hidden away at the rear is a flourishing and most productive kitchen garden. Secure parking is available.

The house is an ideal place to stop over while driving from the channel ports to the south of France, or just to relax in the calm and quiet of the French countryside. There are many interesting places to visit in the region : Chartres with its old town and quite magnificent Notre-Dame Cathedral, Giverny with the famous house and garden of Claude Monet, the château of Maintenon and Anet as well as the Royal Chapel of Dreux. Paris is just about 1 hour away by road or SNCF.

The copious breakfast offers a choice of coffee, tea or chocolate, orange juice, country bread, hot croissants, butter, homemade jam, fresh white cheese, smoked ham and smoked salmon. The kitchen is available for your use should you want to prepare a light evening meal. This can be taken in the dining-room or during the summer 'alfresco' in the pretty garden.
