This is British-owned bed and breakfast accommodation located an easy drive from the A20, exit junction 20 or 21, just a stroll away from the village square of the pretty market village of Chaillac near Argenton-sur-Creuse. This recently renovated village house was built originally to provide housing for the servants from the chateau and has recently been transformed into a warm and homely guest house where you will enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay. All rooms are centrally heated. Guests have use of a lounge and dining room for their stay. Toiletries are provided in the bathrooms, bottled water, alarm clocks and hairdryers in the bedrooms. Free tea and coffee, guests have use of the kitchen day or night to make themselves a hot drink
Those with pet allergies should note that the b&b owner has a border collie dog. Other small, well-trained dogs are welcome at this address
This is a great base from which to explore the many towns and villages and enjoy walking, cycling, fishing or simply relaxing in the quiet country lanes, in the woods or by the many rivers and lakes. The beautiful Lac de Rochegaudon, just 5 minutes walk from the house, comprises two large lakes both excellent for fishing, permits are available in the village and cost 5€ for a day. The large beach has a supervised swimming area with a waterslide. It has maintained grounds, a children's play area and a café. In summer the spectacular firework display at the lake is not to be missed.
Note that although a cot can be provided, you will need to bring your own bedding for it. A high chair is also available This address has free WiFi internet access.

| Great three course evening meals are available, served in the cosy dining room in front of the wood burning stove. The evening meal with complimentary wine and coffee is €18.00 per person. Children's meals are €10 up to the age of 10. Your host was a head chef prior to moving to France and has worked all over the world so it should be no problem finding something to tantalize your taste buds. Ingredients are fresh, local and organic produce wherever possible |

I just wanted to give some feedback on the b&b accommodation. It was ideally located for a stopover, and easy to find. The rooms were great & the food was fantastic! Just what we needed after a long days drive - a much better option than staying at a motel / chain hotel. - The Kingabys
