This fine anglo-french owned chateau offers luxurious yet very child-friendly bed and breakfast accommodation in the heart of the Loire Valley, just 30 minutes from the A10 motorway among rolling farmland just 6km south of Chinon. Seuilly, the famous home of Rabelais, is just 5km to the west. The wine producing towns of Saumur, Saumur Champigny and Bourgeuil are within 20 kms, while the major historic Châteaux of the region are all within easy access for daytrips (Chinon 6kms, Ussé 12 kms, Azay Le Rideau 25 kms, Villandry 40 kms.)

The chateau is nestled in a plot of some 6 acres, surrounded by agricultural crop land. The garden provides an ideal relaxing space exclusively for guests to enjoy and includes an outdoor heated swimming pool (open from April to September) a childrens' play area with playhouse, swing, slide and garden games; a pretty landscaped lawn and terrace, and secluded spots to relax and to sunbathe. The rear garden contains a number of established trees including a walnut, a gingko and a cedar of Lebanon, thought to be around 200 years old. There are also ruins of a 17th century chapel in the garden, and a working vegetable plot. The attractive courtyard to the front of the property is fully enclosed and provides an additional area for enjoying the morning sunshine. Indoors, guests have use of a warm and inviting sitting room with an open fireplace where you may browse and borrow from a selection of books, magazines, boardgames and DVDs. The double glass doors open on to a large patio overlooking the garden.

The Chateau owners can offer local wine tastings from a range of 40 Loire Valley wines and can also arrange wine tasting tours.

As part of the chateau renovation and for your comfort, the owners have chosen the ultimate in luxurious beds for each of the guest rooms : 180 x 200 cm memory foam mattresses made with cool, breathable, eco-friendly bamboo fibre. The bed linen is 100% cotton, complemented with the most comfortable duvets and pillows they could find. Each suite has an open fireplace with seating area, a luxury ensuite bathroom or shower room, original wooden beamed ceiling, and all the modern comforts you would expect. All of the guest suites have log burners in the chimneys, TV with UK and French channels, DVD player, Ipod dock, Nespresso machine and kettle, bathrobes, l'Occitane toiletries and WiFi internet access. There is a guests' kitchen in the winery building which includes a hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer so that guests who wish to cater for themselves can do so. There are also 2 barbecues for guests' use. Cots and other accessories for babies including a bath, changing mat and high chair are available on request at no extra charge.
