Previous visitor comments
I wanted to give some feedback about our recent stay at the chateau accommodation near Alencon in Normandy because it was brilliant - and I'd like everyone to know that! The place was like a little oasis of peace and tranquility - away from the hustle and bustle of towns and more important, motorways as we'd had a really terrible journey to it with lots of traffic jams - plus it was really hot! The welcome was great and Madame's English is good. The rooms were fantastic - huge, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Dinner was lovely - lots of locally grown produce all cooked to create some very tasty dishes - even the kids loved it! Service was great and the wine list carefully chosen to accommodate all tastes and pockets. Breakfast was simple but well done again. Overall, I couldn't fault the stay - I thought the Chateau was excellent value for money and much, much nicer that a mediocre hotel in the centre of a town - I couldn't fault it and would heartily recommend it.- the Waite family, 2008
