This is British-owned bed and breakfast accommodation situated in the rural farming community of Mouriez, a few kilometres from the market town of Hesdin with its restaurants, shops and bars and 1 hr 20 mins down the coast from Calais and 75 minutes from the Channel Tunnel. Boulogne is a 50 min drive. The popular golfing resorts of Le Touquet and Nampont St Martin are a 30 minute drive away, as are the beautiful sandy beaches at Berck-sur-Mer and Fort Mahon. The beautiful old fermette is situated in a peaceful setting with nearly two acres of lawns and gardens, an orchard and field with small animals including chickens and ducks and there is private parking. Children are always welcome to visit the animals and your hosts never say no to help at feeding time, but just remember to bring your wellies! Please note that dogs cannot be accepted at this address because of the other animals around

The farmhouse has been carefully refurbished and modernised to provide comfortable, quality bed and breakfast accommodation. There are a number of riding schools in the area (10-15 minutes drive) where lessons and trekking can be arranged. In addition, randonnées avec un Âne (or Walking with Donkeys) is popular in the area. There are also many cycle routes in the area and several sign posted walking paths. Canoeing and fishing are also easily accessible. The two guest rooms are fresh, bright, comfortable and tastefully decorated and have beautiful, timber-vaulted ceilings, giving them a delightful charm and character.

The b&b now has a small swimming pool (a round pool of 3.66m diameter, 70cm deep) for shared use by all guests. The pool has been sunk into a large decked area within the garden - patio furniture is provided.

Previous visitor comments
This is a recently done up series of farm buildings, done very tastefully but maybe more to British tastes. Excellent facilities but not for the tall people as the rooms were in the upper part of a converted barn. Excellent food and great company as we got on well with the other couple staying there. Tina and her husband have obviously worked very hard to get the accommodation in the state that it is. She seems very energetic and able to cope with a variety of situation.- The Brenchleys 2008
