Peace and tranquillity are assured, as the chateau is surrounded by centuries old parkland and woodland. Four gardens, Italian, Japanese, American and Inca surround a fountain and a rose garden inviting you to linger in an enchanted setting.

At the chateau, the rooms combine elegance and authenticity with all the important modern comforts. The living rooms, with portraits of various family ancestors, rival in grandeur with the immense dining room, a veritable chef d'oeuvre of the 18th century, complete with its monumental buffet displaying an exquisite collection of china. The Fireplace Room was the place where all, lords and servants alike, would gather around the monumental fireplace. A symbol of warmth and sharing, this room has now become the 'Games Room'. Up to you to choose whether you would rather play billiards whilst enjoying a warming glass of cognac, or converse about the Loire Valley versus tropical climates with Kakou the parrot!

The chateau is an ideal base for golfers, having three fabulous golf courses within an easy drive - The Golfe de La Bosse, 30 km away near Vendôme, 9 holes, Complementary caddie rental for guests of the chateau, The Mansgolfier, 45 km away near Le Mans, 18 holes. In accordance with French legislation, the interior of the chateau is a no-smoking zone. Note also that accompanying pets are not accepted. The chateau is unsuitable for young children due to the dry moat fortifications and priceless antique furniture.
