Charming b&b bed and breakfast guest house accommodation in Haute Provence between Digne-les-Bains and Chateaux-Arnoux Saint-Auban (1.5 hours drive from Marseille), in a remarkable position at 2450 ft in the ancient hilltop village of Aiglun which dates back to the 15th and 16th century. This newly renovated property enjoys stunning panoramic views in a beautifully peaceful location. From the garden and the swimming pool there are amazing views of the snow capped peaks of the Southern Alps, the "Plateau de Valensole" with its lavender fields stretching as far as the eye can see, the hills of the Verdon, the city of Digne and the valley of the River Bleone.
Golf, gliding, horse riding, water sports, hiking, mountain bike and skiing are the main sports which can be practiced in and around this address.
A huge open fire will turn the bad weather days into the most enjoyable and cosy evenings. During the high season, your hosts can prepare a picnic for you (to be ordered 24 hours in advance) which are prepared with fresh products and can be collected at breakfast time.
A living room equipped with a TV is at the exclusive disposal of the bed & breakfast guests. During the rainy and frosty days, you will enjoy the benefits of the open fire. A collection of books and games is also available. A large swimming pool is at your disposal from June to September. It is located on the southern edge of the hill and is exposed to the sun from sunrise to sunset. Children of under 12 years will have a starter, main course, dessert & drink for €17. In good weather, the evening meal is served outside. Otherwise, it is served in the old stable which has been converted into a dining room. |
