Family chateau bed and breakfast accommodation near to the 14th century hill village of Perreux and 5km from the principal north/south route N7 at Roanne in France, an ideal stopover if you are heading North/South using the A77 or the A75 autoroutes. St. Etienne airport is under an hour from the château.
This English-owned chateau is set in 5 wooded between the Beaujolais hills and the Madeleine mountains of the Massif Central. The vineyards of Beaujolais, Burgundy and the Roannais are nearby. The property has a petanque area and a heated swimming pool plus direct access to a premier grade fishing river, a tributary of the Loire. Nearby you will find lakes with water sports, horse riding and bicycle hire.
On entering the chateau you will find a magnificent hall with a ceiling height of 9m surrounded by a galleried landing with minstrel's gallery. The salon is modelled on the Music Room of the Chateau Fontainebleau, a former king of France's residence outside Paris. The ballroom is panelled in walnut with a superb matching fireplace. The hall has a woodburning fire and a pool table. All of these rooms are available to guests.
All bedrooms are non-smoking and accompanying pets are not accepted. Plenty of parking space available in the chateau grounds. Free WiFi internet access is available at the chateau.

Excellent quality family-owned hotel bed and breakfast accommodation 12 miles South East of Montelimar at Grignan within easy reach of the A7 autoroute on the doorstep close to where Provence, Rhone Valley and Languedoc meet. This intimate guest house has all of the qualities of a hotel and the hospitality here is superb. The property has a terraced garden in which you can relax and the 'salon de thé' will offer you tempting snacks and patisserie.
The house is beautifully furnished with great taste and style and makes an excellent base either for exploring the region or as a stopping off point en route to the South East.
10 wonderfully peaceful guest rooms are available, all have en suite luxurious bathroom facilities, satellite TV, mini bar, and direct dial telephone plus free WiFi internet access. The decor ranges from stencilled walls to ragged paintwork, original floor tiles or oak timber flooring, which all add to the authenticity of the establishment.
There is a tea room on site, open from 12 noon to 18.30 hrs, serving simple salads, pastries, ice creams as well as hot and cold drinks. For your evening meal, there are plenty of good restaurants accessible on foot.
Pets are welcome for a rate of €7 per night.

The 'Mas' has been sympathetically renovated and retains it's spirit and history with the presence of the old oak beams, many exposed stone walls, tiled floors and walls that have been colour-washed in warm southern tones. Guests have use of the salon where you will find the large open fireplace where the wood fire burns in the colder months
